Axillary Surgery

Axillary surgery is advised during breast cancer surgery to assess the extent of breast cancer involvement. It is only performed when there is an invasive (infiltrating) breast cancer confirmed.

2 methods can be offered :

• Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy (SLNB)
• Axillary Clearance / Axillary Dissection (ALND)
